TREADWAY EVENTS-OWNED SIGNATURE ATTRACTION
Combined with the thrill of a haunted house experience—creating a new form of entertainment that became a Treadway Events-owned signature attraction. Guests enjoy blockbuster horror films while live scare actors, special effects, and timed performances unfold around their vehicles for a fully immersive, contactless show.
In 2020, with indoor haunted attractions shut down due to COVID-19, Treadway needed a safe and innovative way to preserve the Halloween tradition—without compromising on thrill, quality, or guest volume.
Even during lockdown, audiences were craving seasonal experiences that felt communal, exciting, and safe. Combining cinematic horror with live performance was the perfect way to bring Halloween to life—without the need for physical contact or shared indoor spaces.
Treadway developed a hybrid horror format, pairing cult-classic and blockbuster horror films with a timed live scare show featuring scare actors, fog, lighting effects, and immersive audio broadcast directly into car radios. We oversaw every element including show choreography, ticketing, parking logistics, audio integration, food & concessions, marketing, and nightly operations.
The event sold out within weeks in its debut year and has since become a multi-year franchise, continuing to sell out through 2025. In 2023 alone, the Drive-In welcomed 3,500+ cars, attracted 12,000+ guests, and generated $275,000+ in ticket sales. It earned widespread media coverage, amassed millions of social impressions, and has solidified its place as one of the most innovative seasonal experiences in the Pacific Northwest.
